Arielle is a human spirit who lives in Heaven. After a total of 249 reincarnations she is up for a promotion to Archangel. However, before this can happen she must return to Earth to tackle the one life lesson she left uncompleted - the lesson of healing. An integral first step in this process is the creation of a Blueprint, used to plan the intimate details of the life before the incarnation. Putting a new twist on the proverbial dinner party, Arielle invites her friends for dinner to brainstorm ideas and options for her next life. As the evening progresses, and more wine is consumed, imaginations run wild leading to hilarious consequences and outlandish possibilities.

So what life should Arielle choose...one as a transsexual who helps AIDS patients, a psychic raised in a strict religious environment, an Aboriginal Shaman trying to bridge the gap between traditional and western medicine or a child prodigy with an amazing musical healing gift? These are but a few of the ideas generated throughout the evening. Some guests even volunteer to cast themselves in certain roles so they too can join in the experience and witness Arielle's last, and sure to be interesting, life.

After days of deliberation Arielle, with advice from her Spirit Guides, Guardian Angels and building on the ideas generated at the dinner party, develops her Blueprint. Now all that is required is to get the approval of the Council, which won't be an easy task given the importance of this life and her future as an Archangel. The Council provisionally approves the Blueprint, with the condition that Arielle's promotion will be linked to how well her last life matches her Blueprint. During final preparations the tables are turned at the last minute when the Council appears to advise her that she must leave that night.
