Lynnette Vaughn dreamt of being a writer since she was six years old. Then in 2006, after a series of events, that dream became a reality.

Lynnette was born and raised in the religious bible belt of Calgary, Canada. Her mother grew up Mennonite Brethren and her father, Northern Baptist. As well, many of her relatives were missionaries. Why is this significant? Well, imagine traveling 10,000kms across the world and arriving in Australia during the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras! This naive woman, with such a conservative upbringing, had her eyes opened wide, for the first time! She now had the freedom to discover who she was, what she believed and find her destiny without the religious or environmental constraints of her homeland. Lynnette may have been born and raised in Calgary, but she grew up, in Australia!

One night in 2001, Lynnette had a very amusing and profound dream. The entire premise of Blueprint presented itself in the form of a movie. As well, a woman was talking in the background urging her to wake up and write this story down. This person mentioned that others, like herself, questioned their lives just as she did. She did wake up, she did write it all down, in fact over the next few weeks she wrote the premise for Blueprint (as well as outlines for two sequels). Lynnette knew this was her destiny and through her books, she would help others find theirs.

During the years Lynnette lived in Australia, she lived in Townsville for three years, Sydney for 13 years,  Canberra for 18 months, and Melbourne for two years until she decided to return back to Canada to be near her family.

Lynnette enjoys painting (see her Gallery of Artwork on this website), playing the piano (classical and pop) and traveling. She has ventured to many exotic locations throughout the world.

Lynnette currently lives in Calgary, Alberta  Canada.
